DJI Air 3S equipped with forward-facing LiDAR and omnidirectional obstacle sensing for safe aerial inspections in low-light environments.
The "All-Rounder": the DJI Air 3s

The DJI Air 3S is a high-performance “all-rounder” used by Sasquatch Aerial Solutions when clients require a balance between portability and superior imaging power.

Dual Primary Camera System:

The standout feature of the Air 3S is its dual-camera array, providing professional focal length versatility without having to land and change lenses:

1-inch CMOS Main Camera: Features a 50MP sensor with 14 stops of dynamic range. This larger sensor excels in high-contrast scenes and low-light environments, capturing professional-grade detail in shadows and highlights.

70mm Medium Telephoto Lens: A 48MP secondary camera with 3x optical zoom. This allows for cinematic compression in real estate photography and safer close-up inspections of structures without flying dangerously close.

Nightscape Safety and LiDar Technology:

The Air 3S introduces advanced sensing technology that makes it a leader in operational safety:

Forward-Facing LiDAR: This laser-based system allows the drone to detect obstacles in low-light conditions where traditional vision sensors fail, making it the ideal choice for twilight or nighttime commercial shoots.

Next-Gen Smart RTH: The drone can memorize flight paths and navigate back to the takeoff point safely even in environments without a GPS signal, a critical feature for urban surveying and indoor/industrial inspections.

Enhanced Flight Performance:

Built for reliability in demanding outdoor conditions, the Air 3S offers robust flight characteristics:

Superior Wind Resistance: Rated for winds up to 12 m/s (approx. 27 mph), providing much greater stability than lighter drones. This ensures smooth, usable footage on coastal or high-altitude job sites.

Extended Endurance: Up to 45 minutes of flight time per battery allows for longer mapping missions and more time to capture the perfect shot without frequent battery swaps.
